Philosophy (The Four P’s of Public Service)

Public service is the highest calling there is: A noble, honorable & necessary profession. It is the foundation of all great civilizations & great achievements from the Magna Carta to putting a man on the moon. Regardless of the public action, it always starts with an idea & someone like you. The Four P’s of Public Service (People, Processes, Priorities & Projects) & what we can do to help you improve, manage & build on them is ingrained in everything we do, instill & expect from ASPS Alumni.

Our learning philosophy is the key to your success because we focus on simplicity & the Four P’s of Public Service: People, Process, Projects & Priorities. We are all about helping you become a successful public servant.  With every seminar, we’ll get you one step closer to 1) Advancing your people skills with communication, 2) Enhancing your process management so you can continuously improve, 3) Empowering you with diplomatic project management skills to help you get things done, and lastly 4) Engaging your analytical skills to help your prioritize. Regardless of your public service discipline, you are going to get better with ASPS and will soon be able to cultivate a culture of trust & effectiveness in your organization that will be noticed by your peers, community & other public agencies.

Here is how we pull it all together. First, we only use veteran public servants & luminaries that have decades of experience, accomplishment & expertise as our speakers. Second, we make every unique one day ASPS seminar a fun & benchmarking opportunity with your peers so you can learn from everyone there & finally, we make sure you leave with tangible deliverables, from the speaker & participants, that you can use immediately. No talking heads heads here.
