Professor Farhang Jahanpour is a British national of Iranian origin. He was born in Shiraz, Iran, where he also received most of his primary and secondary education and his BA Degree in English and Persian literature. Having received the highest grades in his BA Degree in the faculty he was awarded a scholarship to study aboard. He came to Britain and he received a BA Honours Degree in English literature from Leeds University, an MA Degree in American Studies from Hull University and a Ph.D.
