Politics 365 Podcasts Speaks with Mayor Farrah N. Khan of Irvine, California

Mayor Khan shares her perspectives for the secret of Irvine’s success. Irvine turns 50 this year so what have they learned (got right or could do better)? Irvine was designed from the ground up which explains its amazing public infrastructure, parks, roads, etc. It helped that the Irvine Company (one owner) had so much land to build on so how does the Mayor reflect on Irvine’s land planning experience? Looking at the city’s Priority Projects, how does the City decide on the list and what does the Mayor do to ensure those projects get built? Learn if the Mayor feels there is sufficient diversity in her City’s workforce or in public service or elected office? And finally, how is Irvine dealing with social equity, income inequality and digital divide issues?
